INSPECTIONS

Across Industries

Three Leaf NDT provides nondestructive testing services across all major industries. We support businesses in aviation, forestry, marine operations, construction, manufacturing, and other key sectors by helping ensure the safety, integrity, and reliable performance of equipment, structures, and critical assets through careful, non-damaging inspection methods.

We find the cracks. You take the credit.

Liquid Penetrant

Penetrant Testing uses a liquid dye to detect surface-breaking defects in non-porous materials. The dye is applied, excess is removed, and a powder developer draws it out to clearly reveal cracks or other surface flaws without damaging the part.

Magnetic Particle

Magnetic Particle Testing identifies surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. A magnetic field is applied, and fine particles gather at discontinuities, making cracks, seams, and inclusions highly visible for quick, reliable inspection.

Ultrasonics

Eddy Current

Ultrasonic Testing sends high-frequency sound waves into a material to locate internal flaws. Reflections from cracks, voids, or inclusions are measured to determine defect size, depth, and location, delivering accurate results for both metals and composites.

Eddy Current

Eddy Current

Eddy Current Testing uses electromagnetic induction to find surface cracks, corrosion, and material changes. Coils generate currents in the part; variations in those currents provide precise data on defects, conductivity, and coating thickness without contact damage.

Radiography

Radiographic Testing uses X-rays or gamma rays to create images of a component’s internal structure. Variations in density appear on the radiograph, revealing cracks, voids, inclusions, and other hidden defects without harming the inspected part.

Thermography

Thermography uses infrared cameras to map surface temperature variations across a component or structure. These thermal patterns reveal subsurface defects, delaminations, moisture ingress, or heat loss in both industrial inspections and home energy audits without any contact or damage to the part.
